Elavon Link 2500 Guide for Appetize

Description: Get up and running and ready to take card payments in under five minutes with the plug-and-play capabilities of the Link/2500 pin-pad. Follow the few short steps below to set up your new card terminal.

Link 2500 Wifi Configuration

To access the main menu:

1. Reboot device.
2. Press the green circle when the device is on the initialization screen.
3. Enter the Appetize Password: 5594225.

To Add Network:

1. Select Option 7 - Wireless.
2. Select Option 0 - Wifi Setup.
3. Select Scan Networks.
4. Select the desired WiFi network.
5. Click on your wireless network and enter the password (use the numbers on the keypad to input the WiFi password, use the # key to input symbols, use the yellow key to backspace/delete). 
6. The device will confirm connecting. Click the green button on the pin-pad to confirm.
   Note: The WiFi status will remain white if you have entered the wrong password. If the status remains white after 30 seconds, you will need to press 3-My Networks, then Delete All, and try connecting again with the correct password.
7. Select Connect.

To Turn Wifi On/Off:

1. Select Option 7 - Wireless.
2. Select Option 0 - Wifi Setup.
3. Select Switch On or “Switch Off.

To forget a wireless network:

1. Select Option 7 - Wireless.
2. Select Option 0 - Wifi Setup.
3. Select Advanced Options.
4. Select My Networks.
5. Choose Network and select Forget.

Network Settings

To verify connectivity:

1. From the Home screen, hold the yellow + # buttons for 2 seconds to reboot or until device chirps.
2. When the screen says INITIALIZATION, press the green Enter button.
3. The top of the screen will display Elavon Sub Menu.
4. From the sub menu, select Initiate Ingestate and press the green Enter button.
   • If the connection is active, the device will indicate that it has connected to the server and will download its latest configuration file.
   • If there is no connection, a message will be presented confirming the download could not be completed.
