Description: During an event, Guided Access can be enabled to prevent individuals from using the iPad for anything other than the KDS or Activate app.

Turn On/Off Guided Access

  1. From the device home screen, select the Settings app.
  2. Go to the General section and select Accessibility> Learning> Guided Access.
  3. Toggle Guided Access to the On position to enable.
  4. Enable the Mirror Display Auto-Lock option to ensure the screen does not go to sleep.
  5. Select Passcode Settings to set a six-digit passcode to turn the access on/off.

Activate While in App

  1. Navigate to the incoming orders screen.
  2. Triple-click the home button.
  3. Select the area that will not be accessible once enabled.
  4. Select start in the top right corner.
  5. Now when someone tries to access that area or button, they will have to enter the passcode.

Note: Please remember and save the six-digit passcode.
