DoorDash F.A.Q.
What is the Online Store?
The Online Store is installed after an online ordering app within Marketplace is installed. It is where items are added to be sent to third parties. It allows you to make modifications to the items, such as making it a consumer-friendly name and/or changing the price before sending it to a 3rd party.
How long does it take DoorDash to provision a POS integrated site?
Please refer to DoorDash for their specific SLA, but it can take up to 7 days for locations to be provisioned.
Can I configure the Online Store before DoorDash has created my new location?
Yes, this is encouraged. Between installing DoorDash in the Marketplace and them having your store created, the menu can be fully configured and prepped.
How do I schedule my DoorDash go live?
Please schedule this directly with the DoorDash team.
Can DoorDash tablets still be used for existing customers that move to an integrated model?
Yes, although they are not required and shouldn’t be used as standard practice. They can work as a backup way to see orders and confirm if there are any issues with the POS interface.
What are the benefits of moving to an integrated model?
Faster speed of service, less room for user error due to double entry of orders, and promotion within DoorDash when users are searching for restaurants.
Why don’t I see items in the Online Store?
The Online Store works on an inclusion-based model. Therefore you need to start by adding items and modifiers by clicking Add Item or Manage Items. This will show all of your POS menu which has synced to Marketplace and adding them will push them to 3rd parties upon publishing the menu.
What does “Publish” do?
Publish pushes your menu to 3rd parties or lets them know a new menu is available and being requested to update. It saves the state of the online store when you publish it.
