Configure Cloud and Local Settings in Manager Settings
Description: Learn about the Cloud Settings and Local Settings sections in Manager Settings, and how each type of configuration change is applied across your Workstations.
Note: This feature is currently available only for Pilot users using Multi-Location Management (Customer Hub).
The Manager > Settings screen separates settings into Cloud Settings and Local Settings, making it easier to understand how configuration changes are applied across your Workstations.
Cloud Settings in Manager Settings
Cloud Settings in Manager Settings are accessible through the web and the Workstation. Changes apply to all stations once they are published.
- Menu: Menu Items, Departments, Tags, Favorites, Modifiers, and Coursing
- Accounting: Revenue Classes, Taxes, and Gratuities
- Payments: Acceptable Tenders, Discounts, and Voids
A cloud icon identifies settings that require publishing.
Local Settings in Manager Settings
Local Settings in Manager Settings automatically sync to all stations at the location in the background.
- Users: Jobs, Employee Profiles, and Security Clearance
- Business: General Business Settings, Reports, and POS Updates
- Tickets: General Ticket Behavior and Ticket Statuses
- Hardware: Printers, Network, PIN Pads, and Other Terminal Settings
This visual grouping makes it easy to identify whether a setting under Manager Settings requires publishing (Cloud Settings) or syncs automatically (Local Settings).
