To start a pre-auth from a new ticket, tap the menu button in the upper right (three dots) and select Add Pre-Auth.
To start a pre-auth from your ticket list:
- Select the ticket from the list.
- Press the menu button in the lower right.
- Select Add Pre-Auth.
You would typically run a pre-auth from the ticket list for an "Open a tab" ordering flow, where the items are sent, but other items are added to the order.
- Tap or dip the card in the device's card reader.
Once your pre-auth is done, a small credit card icon will appear below the ticket amount for tickets with pre-authorizations.
