Take a Payment on Shift4 Duo

To take a payment:

1. Begin by selecting a ticket from My checks.
   
   
2. Press the Pay button.
   
   
3. Select a tender from the list for the payment. Your list may differ slightly from the example screen.
   
   
   
   
   Note: For Canada, the "Credit Card" and "Debit Card" payment buttons are changing to “Credit / Debit" buttons on Shift4 Duo/Shift4 One. This change will automatically determine whether the card is a Credit or a Debit and note that in the Reporting.

4. Depending on the tender you used, you are either prompted to Pay in Full (Credit - shown in the first image) or enter a tender amount (Cash - second image).
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
5. To complete a cash payment, use the number pad and press Continue. Select a Receipt Option to finish the payment.

6. When paying with a credit card, the guest is prompted to add a tip. The guest can select one of the suggested percentages or use the Other or Cash Tip buttons.
   
   

7. Press Continue after the tip has been entered. You can walk the guest through the following steps as they should select the tip, use their card, select a receipt option and provide a rating.
8. Use the guest's card to complete the payment. Select a receipt option from the list.
   
   
   
   
9. Have the customer select a rating, then press Continue. The device will log out the user once the payment process is complete.
