Copy a Modifier from Another Item in xDine

Copy a New Modifier to an Item

If your POS supports arbitrary modifiers, you can copy a modifier from another item while creating a new item.

1. Navigate to the xDine Admin Portal.
2. In the Modifiers area on the item you are building, select Copy Modifier underneath the Modifiers label. This opens a dialog listing all items you can copy from.
3. Select the modifier from the dropdown and select Copy at the bottom.

Update an Existing Modifier from Another Item

If the modifier is already attached to the item and you want to update it using another item's settings, follow these steps instead.

1. Navigate to the xDine Admin Portal.
2. Select the modifier tab you want to edit.
3. Select Copy Modifier within that modifier's area.
4. Choose the option to copy this modifier from another item. You will see a list of items that have this modifier in common, or that have other modifiers you can select.
5. Choose the item and the modifier from the dropdown that you want to copy from.
6. Check the box labeled Maintain recipient item's defaults? if the modifier you are copying to has some modifiers you want to preserve.
7. Scroll down and select Copy.

Once copied, select Done, and the changes are automatically applied to the modifier.
