Interact Kiosk Setup for Appetize

Description: Review how to setup the Interact application for guest ordering via kiosks.

Vendor Roles

1. Log in to Connect and click on Options in the left-side menu.
2. Select Vendor Roles from the Options drop-down and then select the appropriate vendor role.
3. Select the Restrictions tab to enable/disable the Drink Limit Per Order toggle.
4. Update the number of drinks allowed under the Limit Amount Per Order toggle once enabled.

Vendor Setup

1. Log in to Connect and click Vendors on the left side menu.
2. Select the Vendor from the list.
3. The vendor's name will display as the pickup location on the Order Confirmation screen inside Interact.                                                                                 
4. The Interact theme can be configured via a JSON file import on the Individual vendor in the Theme Configuration box.        

Employee Roles

The tip, fee, and payment options can be configured in the Employee Role. If the location will be accepting Tips, Digital Signatures must be enabled.

1. Log in to Connect and select Options from the left side menu. 
2. Click Employee Roles from the Options menu and select the appropriate Role to edit.
3. Select the Checkout tab. 
4. Enable the Digital Signature option. 
5. To allow tips on all transactions, set the Signature Amount to 0. If tips should only be offered on transactions greater than a certain amount, configure that amount instead.
   
   
   
   
6. Select the Fee/Tip/Tax tab.
7. Enable/disable the Convenience Fee and configure the type, amount, and name.
8. Toggle Tip Enabled to Yes and configure the Tip options and suggested amounts.
   
   
9. The payment options such as Credit Card, Contactless, and credit chip can be configured under the Payment tab. 

Item Configuration

Grab & Go

Itemsconfigured as Grab & Go will not be displayed as an option in the menu. These items will have barcodes configured to scan to add to the cart rather than select from the menu. 

Note: Grab & Go is available in Interact versions 1.3.4 and above.

1. Log in to Connect and select Items from the left side menu. 
2. Choose Items again.
3. Search for and select the item to configure.
4. Scroll down to the Display section.
5. Select the pencil icon below Is Grab & Go to toggle to Yes. 
   
   
   
   
6. If set to Yes, the item will need a barcode configured for scanning.
7. Navigate to the Codes tab of the item.
8. Select Add Code to enter the corresponding SKU as a Barcode.

Modifiers

Modifiers must use the Modifier Wizard Setup.

Picture Assignments

Category Icons

1. Log in to Connect and select Options from the left side menu. 
2. Select Category Groups and choose the appropriate Group.
3. A JPG or PNG file up to 4 MB can be uploaded for the icon image in Interact.
4. Please make sure to use rectangular images for Category Groups.

Item Pictures

1. Log in to Connect and select Items from the left side menu. 
2. Choose Items again.
3. Search for and select the item you want to configure.
4. On the Details tab under the Display section, a JPG or PNG file up to 4 MB can be uploaded for the item Image in Interact.

Modifier Pictures

1. Log in to Connect and select Items from the left side menu. 
2. Select Modifiers from the Items menu.
3. Search for and select the modifier to edit.
4. A JPG or PNG file up to 4 MB can be uploaded for the modifier image in Interact.
   
   
   
   

Things To Note:

• Please use pictures for Item Modifiers, add descriptions, and configure upsell Items to make the most out of Interact.
• Permissions Sets DO NOT affect Interact, but one will still need to be created and applied to an Employee Role.
• Interact does not support shared logins, so there is no PIN entry when logging into the application.
