POSitouch Cloud Enhanced Reporting and Alerts

Overview

POSitouch Cloud provides reporting and alert tools that allow restaurant operators to monitor sales, labor, employee productivity, and loss prevention conditions across one or multiple locations.

Reports and alerts can be accessed from a desktop, while enhanced functionality also provides mobile access. Users can review store activity, receive alerts when configured conditions occur, and drill down from reports and alerts to the related check-level information. 

Monitor Store Activity

POSitouch Cloud provides tools for monitoring restaurant activity, including sales and labor information.

Depending on the package and feature being used, operators can:

• Monitor multiple stores.
• Review sales and labor information.
• View data in reports.
• Review alerts for conditions requiring attention.
• Drill down to additional transaction details.

The Enhanced package also provides access to the POSitouch Cloud Mobile App for monitoring store operations remotely.

Use Flash Reports

Flash Reports provide information about restaurant performance from POSitouch Cloud.

Available reporting includes:

• Sales Statistics
• Hourly Sales
• Hourly Labor
• Time Report
• Server Productivity
• Server Category Sales
• Safeguard Reports

The available reports depend on whether the site uses the Basic or Enhanced package.

On a desktop, multiple stores can be displayed side by side, making it easier to compare performance across locations.

Review Safeguard Alerts

Safeguard Alerts help identify conditions that may require management attention.

Both Basic and Enhanced packages include alerts for:

• Too much cash in a drawer
• Unprinted online orders
• Minor or age-based exceptions
• Breaks
• Weekly overtime
• Daily overtime

The Enhanced package includes additional loss prevention alerts for conditions such as:

• Overrings
• Deletes after sending
• Deletes before cash
• Deletes before changes
• Long check times
• Excessive tips
• Discounts
• Cancels

Where applicable, alerts can evaluate individual and cumulative activity. 

Set Alert Thresholds

Safeguard Alerts can be configured with thresholds to help identify conditions that exceed acceptable limits.

For example, management can use alerts to identify situations involving excessive cash in a drawer, overtime, discounts, voids, or other loss prevention conditions.

Historical alerts can also be reviewed from a desktop across multiple stores.

Drill Down to Check-Level Detail

One of the features of the Enhanced package is the ability to drill down from reports and alerts to the associated check-level detail.

This allows management to investigate the transactions behind a reported condition instead of viewing only summary information.

For labor-related issues, users can also review who is currently on the clock. This can help when comparing labor activity with current sales performance.

Use the POSitouch Cloud Mobile App

The Enhanced package includes access to the POSitouch Cloud Mobile App.

The mobile functionality allows users to:

• Monitor store operations in real time.
• View information as tables or graphs.
• Receive alerts for conditions that exceed configured thresholds.
• Monitor multiple stores.
• Drill down to check-level detail.

Basic and Enhanced Package Differences

Both packages provide core reporting and several operational alerts. However, the Enhanced package adds additional reporting, loss prevention, drill-down, and mobile capabilities.

Enhanced Reporting Features

The Enhanced package is intended to provide additional visibility into store operations and exceptions.

Enhanced functionality includes:

• More detailed server reporting.
• Safeguard Reports.
• Check-level drill-down.
• Additional loss prevention alerts.
• Longer Flash Report retention.
• POSitouch Cloud Mobile App access.

These tools allow operators to move from a high-level report or alert into the underlying information when further investigation is required.
