Download and Install Enterprise Management Console

Prerequisites

Before installing EMC, ensure the following:

• The computer can reach the EGATEWAY URL.The user is logged in with a Windows Administrator account.
• If this is for a new user, set up the user’s profile and have them sign in so that they are prompted to change their password to one of their own choosing before having them proceed with EMC download.

Download EMC

Deciding which of the EMC download links to use depends on which production environment the company is on. In the following example, an MTU9 EMC Client will be downloaded from Oracle, then installed on a local Windows PC.

1. Log into Simphony.  
   
   
   
   
2. Navigate to the Download tab. 
   
   
   
   
3. Select Enterprise Management Console (EMC) and then Download to obtain EMCSetup.exe.
   
   
   
   

Install EMC

1. Run EMCSetup.exe to initiate the install wizard.
2. On the installation windows that follow, select Next > Next > Install.
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
3. Select Finish upon completion.
   
   
   
   
4. To open EMC, double-click the new EMC desktop icon.

Log In After Installation

1. Open EMC.exe. 
2. Find the correct server details based on the specific download completed using the list of servers below. 
3. Enter Username, Password, and Company. 
   
   
   
   
   

Note: If updates are required, EMC automatically updates itself before opening.
