Shift4 Dine Customer Hub Hardware Orders
This is a non-exhaustive list of expected Frequently Asked Questions from merchants who have received a new Tablet ordered through the Customer Hub for self-setup. While the device itself comes from Deployment fully staged and with printed guides on how to get started, it’s expected that merchants will call in with questions related to the initial setup process. This article should be expanded over time as call volume related to Customer Hub Hardware Orders grows in order to help properly respond to our merchants' requests.
*Please note that while the order in Archos will show Stage 700 installed, technically, the device has not completed the final installation steps of connecting to the network and setting up printing. The merchants have been provided with all documentation necessary to handle this themselves, but it is expected that some will want to work with support to close out these final steps. Below are the expected FAQs for these types of inbound calls.

How do I connect the Tablet to my WiFi?
The printed guide sent with every self-setup Tablet includes these instructions. If the merchant has lost this document before setup, or this document was not included, please reference it here: Tablet Setup Guide.
What is my WiFi network & password?
- SSID: All Shift4 provided wireless networks for Shift4 Dine broadcast an SSID of “S4Device5G” or “S4Device2G”. Either of these networks can be connected, although 2G is preferred for the range it provides.
- Password: Network passwords for the merchant are stored in Archos
How do I configure the printer with the Tablet?

Why can’t I use my USB printers with the Tablet?
Currently, the Tablet only supports IP configured printers. However, if this request is made, please let the merchant know that development is planned to allow the Tablet to print to any printer, USB, or IP in the near future.
